Technical Enquiries
If you buy your VoIP equipment from us, you don’t need to do anything technical to get connected. Simply connect it and you will be live.
If you decide to use your own equipment, you’ll need to ensure the SIP server / proxy address setting is set to sip.gotalk.com as in the table below. All other setting should be standard (but check them anyway).
If you’d like to port your existing number to VoIP, then you will need to complete a number portability form.

VoIP Voice Mail
gotalk offers FREE voicemail with every gotalk VoIP service. There's no need to activate or mess around trying to get this service up and running because as soon as you have signed up with us, it's ON. Its that simple!
To access your gotalk voicemail simply ensure you are online with your gotalk broadband voice account, then Dial 101 from your service to access the voicemail system. If you have any messages you will be informed at the time when you dial in.
By default all inbound calls to your gotalk broadband voice service will be answered by the voicemail system after 35 seconds. It will be up to you to check and see if you have missed any calls and then retrieve them by dialing 101 from your service.
For further information on how to manage your voicemail service, including setting up your out going message, follow the flow diagram to navigate to the desired sections. If you prefer to use your own Answering machine to take your inbound calls simply ensure it answers the inbound calls within 30 Seconds.
